ABOUT LEYLA

​

Leyla T. Rosario is currently the Group Executive Producer for Translation. She is an award-winning Producer, Director, and Writer. Leyla comes with 20+ years of experience in film and advertising production. She previously served as the Executive Producer at Droga5 and the Global Executive Producer for Instagram at Ogilvy.

 

Leyla directs for TV and online content. Brands include: MTV, Zero Point Zero Productions, The New York Times, Netflix, Vox, Chase Marriott / Bonvoy, StraightTalk, Del Real Foods, and Kingsford​. 

 

In 2022, Leyla became a semi-finalist for the CDDP (Commercial Director’s Diversity Program) and featured in an upcoming New York Times campaign on small business owners.  Click here. 

 

Leyla is the Managing Partner of an LGBTQIA+, women minority owned production company, The Gig Media,. It serves as a voice representing BIPOC & LGBTQIA+ production crew, mentorships, educational tools, panels, scripted and unscripted original content, and all stages of production to post-production. In addition, Leyla is the other half of web series "The Gig", a show about film and tv from behind the scenes and on the screen.  

 

An only child from The Bronx of New York City, she realized at a very early age the importance of family. She is incredibly close to her Puerto Rican parents and carries that same level of love and support with every production. In her spare time, you can find Leyla being an advocate for more representation of diverse talent in production, cycling, painting/creating art, and cooking up a feast for her loved ones!​

Highlights:

  • 2022 Directed 1 TV episode for an upcoming MTV TV show to be launched in 2023 titled: "De La Calle"

  • Executed Instagram’s most influential 2020 Election campaign. Registered an additional 4.4 million people to vote across all Facebook-owned apps. 

  • Managed along with vendor(s) COVID compliant live-action remote shoot(s) with multiple locations, celebrity talent, and social influencers within the US for Instagram. 

  • Produced in partnership with Ogilvy, Instagram, 1st Ave Machine, MPC, Mophonics, Exile, Lime "We Make Today" campaign.

  • Produced “Find More to Heart” - a large technically driven user-generated content campaign directed by Kric Merc and senior editor, Mah Ferraz.  Managed post-production, asset management, liaison between licensing and legal clearance departments. 

  • Managed budgets ranging from ultra-low production to $7M USD.

  • Launched virtual reality film for SK-II; a major international beauty brand. The film grossed $2 million in sales in one day during China’s Singles Day event; breaking P&G’s record in sales.
